'Macbeth' & 'Murder in the Cathedral'
John played Thomas a Becket in 'Murder in the Cathedral' in St Giles Cathedral at the Edinburgh Festival of 1986. He played Macbeth at the Edinburgh Festival of 1989. It was an open air production on Inchcolm Island. Gerda Stevenson played Lady Macbeth and John Bett directed.
